Greetings from Jonnie,
Putter Fitting Day - 26th July 9-12pm
We will be holding our own putter fitting day with brands including Odyssey, PING, TaylorMade and Wilson.
The importance of a putter fitting
We hold lots of fitting days for the leading manufacturers for all the clubs and we also have fitted many of our members for clubs, but putter fittings are still something new to people we've found.
Remember we offer a FREE fitting with any new putter. We recognise the importance in having the right equipment. You need to trust it so that you can then put a good stroke on the putt.
Come along this Sunday to get your new putter.
Virtually every Tour player is fitted individually to their putter, but almost no amateur players do that! The average height of a PGA Tour player today is 6' and he uses a 33.5 inch putter on average. You guys are using a 35 inch putter on average because that is the "standard" putter. A properly fit putter will allow you to set up with your hips over your ankles, your hands under your shoulders with a little bend in the elbows and your eyes over the ball.
Please call up or click here to book your 30 minute fitting appointment.
Short Game area July Countdown!!
Do you want to hit clutch pitches?!
We've now witnessed such a display of short game prowess over the past couple of weeks at the Scottish Open and The Open. Zach Johnson under enormous pressure got up and down on his 72nd hole to end up in the play off. He putted tremendously well when it counted and finished off smaller putts when required too. Speith narrowly missed out on claiming the Claret jug, finishing one off the lead isn't all bad though!
I'm sure that nearly all of you watched the play-off but just in case you missed it, below is a result of the four hole play-off.

We have all had circumstances where we need a good pitch into a hole to keep us in a match or to shoot under our handicap if we got up and down from the fairway.
To help you with this our great short game area will be opening imminently and notices will be up to let you know when!
The Open Sweepstake winners:
With Zach Johnson - Euan Anderson
With Louis Oosthuizen - Bob Cleghorn
With Marc Leishman - Don Hinks

Night Golf anyone?? - Click here to submit your interest.
We are looking into holding a night golf fun night later on this year. I am initially looking to find out what interest there might be with such an unusual yet, I'm sure, extremely entertaining night this will hold.
What is Night Golf
Golf technology has made some incredible advances over the last 20 years and Night Golf is no different. Technology has enabled us to elevate this form of the game to a whole new level. Fairways, tees, paths and greens are lit up with coloured LED lights. Our own flags, which have up to 100 LED lights, complete what is a visually stunning experience. http://thenightgolfcompany.co.uk/
Take a look at some of these images below.
Please show your expression of interest to attend such an event, the more people who show their interest the better chance we have at showcasing night golf at Murrayfield!
