Time for a cliché…
Well, that's Augusta done for another year and whilst the famous back nine didn't produce the type of drama it has done in years gone by, that was because 21-year-old Jordan Spieth refused to play any part in making it tense. What a display it was.
There was much to admire about his game, but at the risk of boring you with a cliché, 'It's all about the short game'! Yes, he was long and accurate off the tee and his putting was fantastic. However, the shots slip away very quickly at somewhere like Augusta and it wasn't just Spieth who scrambled well when he had to; that final leaderboard was ultimately a list of golfers who, during the week, had that unerring ability to get the ball up and down time and time again.
We can't promise you a Green Jacket but spend some time with us to work on your short game and you won't half notice the difference in your scoring. You know where to find us...or click here to book your lesson.

Scottish Boys Matchplay Week at Dunbar
Murrayfield had strong representation from our current club champion, Andrew Ni, and a talented junior coming through, Eric Mcintosh, who both made it through to the last 16, beating players of a higher standard. We also had representation from Cameron Whyte who plays off a handicap of 4 and unfortunately was beaten by a scratch handicapper in the second round.
Junior Stableford
Wednesday, 8 April
Sam Walker(35) 53
Aidan Fraser(34) 42
Patrick Lawrence(8) 42
Not that is how you do it folks! Sam shoots an incredible round of golf to drop his handicap down by an astonishing 9 shots! Well done Sam, Aidan and Paddy on super scoring. It's unlucky that Charlie Finnie, who shot 40 stableford points, didn't make it into the top 3! Paddy shot a Gross 71 and dropped his handicap down from 8 to 6 already this year, maybe we could put a bet on you (like Jordon Spieth for The Masters) that you'll be down to category 1 by the end of the year...
