This week is sad in many ways as we say goodbye to Mike McNally working in the Pro Shop. Mike has served the club and me for over four years and has been a great asset to the team here. Mike's last shop day is this Sunday, but he will continue to coach until the end of the month, so don't worry we will still see his cheery face around for a few more weeks. Mike is going to coach full time at Swanston Golf Club and I wish him all the very best of success. I will miss having him around very much as he has brought so much to the service here (in particular dragging Duncan and me into the new century regarding technology and the online lesson booking system). I know some members have organised a collection for Mike which the bar are taking, so please feel free to contribute.

On a positive note however, I am delighted to announce Scott Grieve will be joining our team. Scott has over 15 years experience as a Professional and has worked on the Junior Programme at Loretto School, Turnhouse Golf Club, Kings Acre and Royal Wimbledon, amongst other clubs. Scott is an avid and experienced coach and has a passion for the game of golf. I am sure you will all give him a warm welcome when he starts on Tuesday 15th September. Scott will be offering coaching fairly quickly after his start date so again you will have three Pros to choose from to help you develop your game.
