Clip 1 – Tee Shot Jean’s strategy off the tee was to aim down the right side of the fairway to allow for the ball to bounce left off the slope. She hit a perfect tee shot that finished right in the middle of the fairway. Clip 2 – Lay Up For Jean’s second shot her ball was slightly above her feet. All things being equal, a ball will usually curve from right to left when the ball is above your feet. With this knowledge we had Jean aim further right than usual. To get over the dip and over the hill we had Jean hit her high launch 5 wood rather than her 3 wood as the extra loft would give her some extra height to get over the dip. Jean hit a lovely shot down the right side which naturally took a big bounce left finishing on the left side of fairway. Clip 3 - Approach Originally Jean was lining up her approach shot aiming a little too far to the right so Mike asked her to back off the shot and re-align. Now with proper alignment, Jean hit a fantastic 9 iron straight at the flag to about 15ft. Clip 4 – Birdie Putt During the on course lesson Jean and Mike has been working hard on trying to change Jean’s psychology and way of thinking on the greens. For this birdie attempt Jean was able to clear her mind, focus on the task at hand and execute her putt perfectly for a fantastic birdie 4. Keep up the great work Jean!
