Jonnie's PGA Result
This week I was at Gleneagles at the Scottish PGA Championship, I left some work to do after the first round at +4 and knowing last year +2 got through, something under par was needed. I shot a level par round and just missed the cut this year.
Thank you for all of your support in my/our golf, it’s a case of better luck next time!

We had such a strong representation at the St Leonard's Junior Championship at St Andrews, it goes to show how strong our junior section is as a whole from aged 7-18. Well done to all of whom who took part and for those who finished top of their respective category, it makes us really proud to see four categories topped with our members!
The team trophy was won by Stewarts Melville which is brilliant to see, well done to all of you!
Let’s continue our support of our whole Junior and Mini-Junior section and wish them all the best in their competitions this year!
Great Event at Gogarburn Golf Club - Stephen Gallacher Event

The results for the day (from our members) were as follows:
Under 10 Girls Flag Event
Abby Steedman
Jennifer Law
It’s brilliant to, firstly, hear about how active our Mini-Junior and Junior sections are with attending golf events and to cap it off to see them do great is superb to see! Well done Abby and Jennifer!
Which grip should I use?
When you hold your golf club (for a right handed golfer) does your left hand look like this picture to the right?
There are a number of considerations to make when advising a player on which grip to use, recommendations need to be backed up by player preferences throughout:
Moisture Management - What playing conditions does the golfer typically play in?
Rain - Perhaps a cord grip is best!
Dry or arid conditions - A smooth, tacky grip may be the suitable recommendation.
Various weather conditions – A hybrid grip may provide the best all-weather performance.
Consider different surface textures - The texture pattern on the grip, ranging from grips which provide a heavy, coarse pattern (such as a full cord grip); to a smooth, tacky surface.
Do you have any hand injuries or arthritis? - Larger grips which are softer can help alleviate pain and make golf more comfortable. Ask us in the shop for more information.
Come into the shop, we can measure your hand size and through a few questions, determine the best grip for you!
