Albus Arrives 

I am delighted to announce the arrival of our latest Pro Shop Progeny. Albus Iain Lowdean came into the world last Monday evening to the delight of Iain and his wife Gin and their other son Toben. Albus weighed in at a healthy 8lb 13oz and is now settling into life at home with the Lowdean's. Iain will be hoping he is as much of a wizard with the golf club as he is!

 

Fun For All

We had an amazing day for our Fun Competition on Saturday. The sun shone all day and everyone was in great spirits, with the BBQ and bar being particularly popular! 

Thank you to everyone for entering a team and making it such a fun day for us too. It is great to get everyone's chat out on the course and share some laughs. As usual Duncan & I managed to lose a small fortune at beat the pro on the 10th hole, but we had fun doing it!

Huge thanks go out to Murray Georgeson  (pictured below) from The Ship on The Shore restaurant for all his kind prizes on the day, including Vouchers, Wine, Champagne and Balls!

Well Done Vicki 

Well done to Murrayfield member Vicki Macrae (pictured) whose big smile in the photo revealed her delight at her first ever hole in one. Vicki achieved this at the 2nd hole using her 5 iron.

Junior OOM Medal - Sunday 15th May Results (Nett) 

1st - Charlie Campbell - (17) 67 
2nd - Abby Steedman - (30) 68 
3rd - Stuart I C Thurlow - (5) 68 

Charlie Campbell continues to improve his handicap with top spot in the Junior Medal held on Sunday. It's also great to see Abby Steedman following in mums footsteps - watch out Caroline she's coming to get you! Stuart also continues his run of good form coming third but shooting the best scratch score of the day a 73 from the white tees. 

Harry Cusiter shoots 29! 

We held a Murrayfield Mini Junior (MMJ) Medal on Sunday afternoon. As always it was very well attended with the competition taking place after some coaching sessions held on the putting green for our Mini's. The scoring was excellent round our MMJ 7 hole medal course. The course covers the first 7 holes of Murrayfield with the blue MMJ tees placed further forward ranging from 100yds on the 5th to around 260 yds on the 3rd with a par of 25. Harry Cusiter was the low round of the day shooting a magnificent 29 gross bringing his MMJ handicap down to 4. Harry and quite a few others have a lot of potential and are names to look out for in the future.
