Happy New Year to you all!! We hope you had a great festive time and are raring to go this year and looking forward to the 2016 season ahead.




Laura (Assistant Manager) has some fantastic news!

Over the break you speak to people about their festive times and what they have been up to but for one lucky lady, she thoroughly had a great time. Laura (Assistant Manager) had a brilliant surprise from her partner, who proposed to her whilst on the Christmas break, congratulations Laura on your engagement! 




Stovie's Competition:

On the 2nd January we held the first competition of the year, Stovie's is more of a social day rather than the quality of golf. The participation was one of the largest number's we've seen and it's great to see such an array of different members from the regular golfers to brand new members, one playing the course for the first time! One of the photos below shows members playing from in front of the clubhouse and is from the Par 3 competition. This is where members play round the first tree onto the 18th green, Jim Tait won this year on round 2 by pitching his wedge to within 2 feet.

   


 

We are holding a NEW 'Monthly Lottery'

I've been playing the lottery now nearly every week since the start and I can honestly say I've never won more than £10! If any of you have done better, I'd like to know! Entry will be £2 per ticket When this is properly up and running, not only will we have 12 winners per year but the goods on offer could be anything from a custom fitted driver or an electric trolley. It just depends on how many of you enter; all money taken will go towards the prizes.
