We're holding another club fitting day in early April, on Saturday 11th. I would highly recommned attending as this club is the most important in the bag, so making sure you are completely comfortable with is imperative to scoring your best. Available to try will be putters from Odyssey, PING, TaylorMade and Wilson, along with PGA Professionals to ensure you are correctly fitted. Don't miss it!

The Masters 2015 is nearly upon us!
There are a few members who are lucky enough to get tickets for this year's Masters, what a fantastic pristine venue it is and all golf lovers would grab the chance to be there too!

Well done everyone who took part in the fun four clubs and a putter, it's an unusual format but certainly gets you thinking about manipulating your clubs to suit the shot at hand.
New arrivals in the pro shop
We continue to receive more stock for the 2015 season, this week we've received clothing from Ashworth, Calvin Klein and Galvin Green - Insula sweater and gillet tops, as well as putters from Odyssey. Some very exciting colours available in Ashworth's new range, fresh for the warmer months. Junior Quiz Night
We had a great turnout from the Junior section, with a great night set up for them, from a quiz, famous golfer 'lookey-likeys' to a 5 hole putting course. No glasses got smashed in the process of the putting!
Approximately 40 attended, which is a great turnout and shows again how strong our Junior section is and how good it is for the future of our club.
The Mini Junior night last Tuesday was a hit!
We are looking forward to another exciting year with our Mini Juniors, the first fun competition is on the 22nd March. The first competition is going to be a flag event, each Mini Junior will get 40 shots and they keep going until all shots are taken and place their flag where the ball ends up. The record for this is just before the 9th green, this was set by Charlie Campbell last year!

Pro/Member Challenge Matches
We are taking bookings for teams for this year's Pro Challenge matches, get your team together then let us know and we'll all need to find a date for that match!
For those of you still wondering what the format is:
Team of 4 including one pro £30 entry
Best one stableford score per hole on the front nine, 2 scores per hole on the back nine.
Prizes will be allocated at the end of the season to the team with the most points. This is great fun and we thought it would be a good idea for us to get out there more often and see how good the general standard of golf is at MGC, hopefully learn something along the way too!!
