Murrayfield Juniors Do The Double! 

Congratulations to the Murrayfield juniors on successfully defending the Edinburgh Inter Club final at Kingsknowe on Sunday. 

The played Craigmillar in the final and won both matches to win The Inter Club competition for the second year in a row. Playing in the Inter Club was Andrew Grant, Patrick Lawrence, Stuart Thurlow, Bobby Gibson, Robb Hawthorn & Aaron Hastings. 

This victory completes the clean sweep as they also won the Junior Summer League for the first time ever earlier this year. The juniors still have to play in the Scottish club finals at Dalmahoy in an effort to play in the Home Nations finals in Spain next year, in which they were runners up this year. 

What an amazing season, all of which has been made possible due the huge effort by Team Manager - Jackie Thurlow. As you can imagine, organising a dozen teenage boys over the course of a season is not a straight forward task!

Steve Thurlow has also put in a lot of work in helping Jackie the last few years, and it really is the enthusiasm of these amazing volunteers which is making the Junior section here so fantastic recently.


 

Pro Member Challenge 2016 update! 

  

Neil, Phil, Tom and Iain are still leading the way in the 2016 pro challenge! They've held that narrow lead since early August and it looks tough to beat, some matches are in the diary still to play, can they hold on or will there be a last minute leader?! Let us know if you want to enter a team into the 2017 Pro Challenge Matches.




Hole in one on the 6th! 

Gordon Reid brought along some guests on Friday and one of them, Paul Cross from Harborne GC in Birmingham, had his first ever hole in one on the 6th hole!! Pretty impressive stuff, he said it was a driver he hit and thought it was a little out the toe. His friends in the group ahead were chipping around the green when his ball (after shouting fore!) landed in the hole for his first ever hole in one!

Junior Group Lessons Dates 

YMG coaching is designed for both boys and girls and is ideal for youngsters between the ages of 5 and 12 years old. 

YMG covers every aspect of the game, giving children targets to work to, exciting challenges and rewards for achievement.

October Holidays:
Week 1 - Tuesday 18th Oct - Friday 21st Oct 9am-11am or 11:30am-1:30pm 
Week 2 - Tuesday 25th Oct - Friday 28th Oct 9am-11am or 11:30am-1:30pm

Saturdays Classes: Saturday 29th October, 5th, 12th & 19th November 12-2pm or 2-4pm
