Callaway Fitting Day - TODAY!!!
Winter Foursomes Result
I am delighted to say last week saw the Champions crowned in the Winter Foursomes event with one of the club's few left handed golfers in the winning team - perhaps inspired by Bubba's win in the Masters?! Well done to Ian Forsyth & Ali McArthur on winning the event, beating David Lamb & Mike Reid in the final.
Pro's Fun Day Texas Scramble - Saturday 17th May
Our fun competition will be held on Saturday 17th May this year and will be a double shotgun start, one at 9am and one at 1:30pm with the prize giving straight after and hopefully some drinks and food in the clubhouse as well.
The format will be texas scramble - teams of 4, with loads of prizes and drinks on offer out on the course. If you don't have a team don't worry, we will pair you up with a team of like minded individuals! We are looking for 40 teams in total, 20 on each shotgun, and it will be on a first come first served basis as to which hole you tee off from! Teams can be mixed or just ladies and gents and juniors can be included in a team. Fancy dress is not compulsory, but is highly recommended!
Vinit and Angela bag their first Aces!
It doesn't rain but it pours. That's 3 aces in 2 weeks on the same hole!
On Sunday morning Vinit Khurana sank his tee shot on the 13th hole with an 8-iron. Unfortunately Vinit and his partner didn't see the ball go in, so were hunting around in the bunkers and at the back of the green before the penny dropped and they checked the hole!
That's not all, Angela Houston had a hole in one on Wednesday 23rd April on the 13th hole at Murrayfield.
Angela used a 7 iron and played the perfect shot landing on the green before seeing it disappear into the hole for her first ever hole in one.
Congratulations to them both. This could be a record year if we carry on this way!
